Why the word “safe” needs a complete product context

Safety cannot be determined from a product name or one highlighted ingredient. A supplier needs to understand the target animal, expected frequency, application quantity, whether the product may be swallowed, flavor system, packaging and claims. A formula that is reasonable in one use scenario may not be appropriate in another.

Human toothpaste should not be the benchmark
